Palazzo Piazza Borromeo
Contemporary Green Living
Palazzo Piazza Borromeo comes to life between the Ticino river and the Naviglio Pavese in the heart of Pavia.
Overlooking the historical Piazza del Collegio Borromeo, the complex is close to the Horti Borromaici. The proximity to the Ticino river, the Ponte Coperto and the historic city centre places the complex in a strategic position to the city's ciclo-pedestrian connections.
The historical complex, from which Palazzo Piazza Borromeo originates and once called Santa Margherita and before that Palazzo Sacco, is the result of past stratifications with six buildings from different periods, between the second half of the 16th century and the first half of the 20th century.
The restoration and renovation of the historical complex includes the realization of apartments, from two-room to five room apartments, underground parking and a wide private garden.
Respecting the historical and artistic heritage, the architecture restoration and the new interiors enhance the genius loci through the project's character, the chosen materials and the interaction between the location and the city's identity.
