Pavia: Supernova launches participatory planning with schools for Pavia Next Gen
👦 Supernova, the winner with the Pavia Next Gen project of the masterplan promoted by FS Sistemi Urbani for the regeneration and development of the areas in Pavia's former railway yard known as "Scalo Rismondo" and "Scalo Trieste", today launched an important school participation process to dialogue with the children and young people of the city's kindergartens, primary and secondary schools to imagine together a new place for future generations. The commitment is to create a new piece of the city from the regeneration of the former railway yard that encourages interaction, inclusion and the development of a cohesive community.
🎙 Paolo Signoretti, CEO Supernova, states:
"Our focus is always on the design and realisation of new quality places. The activity of participation of Pavia's schools is also part of this direction: through listening to the youngest, the former railway yard can become a new neighbourhood to accommodate the needs and desires of the new generations. The partners we have involved to create long-term value for the community are important: The LEGO Foundation, which promotes children's learning through play, and the Bernard van Leer Foundation, which is committed to improving opportunities for young children from an early age."
🏫 Four Comprehensive Schools and Liceo Taramelli will be the protagonists of the Participatory Design for the regeneration of the former railway yard aimed at preschool, primary school, secondary school and secondary school pupils. Supernova entrusted the Arup studio with the realisation of workshops, differentiated according to the different classes, to gather the children's and young people's point of view. The classroom workshops start today and will continue until the end of the month with teams from Supernova, ARUP and FS Sistemi Urbani in the classrooms to guide the pupils through different activities.
