Manifattura Tabacchi Verona: demolition and above-ground reclamation work completed

In the more than 30,000 square metre Manifattura Tabacchi area in Verona, the demolition and above-ground remediation of the present industrial structures is proceeding, reaching completion.

✅ Removal and disposal of all hazardous materials: 12.500 kg of coverings and gaskets containing refractory ceramic fibres and/or asbestos:
3,200 sqm of bituminous sheathing
2,600 sqm of FAV - artificial glass fibres

✅ Removal and disposal of all asbestos roofing:
2,500 sqm on protected buildings
570 sqm on non-protected buildings

The regeneration of the Manifattura Tabacchi, as the link between Verona's southern gate, Veronafiere, and the former railway yard, will create a new urban district.
