La Necchi, Pavia: Conference "Regeneration and Competitiveness" by Assolombarda
A conference organised by Assolombarda and Ance was held this morning in Pavia's Auditorium Vittorio Necchi to explore the basic themes of urban regeneration processes, indispensable drivers for sustainable paths with a high impact on the territory.
Our CEO, Paolo Signoretti, spoke about the ongoing regeneration of the former Necchi area, centre of the new ecosystem in Pavia between business, innovation, university, and research.
🏗 The regeneration of the area will give rise to the Supernova district, which with a functional mix will create a new car-free, sustainable, efficient, attractive place. It will be a neighbourhood geared to the needs of contemporary living, in which hybrid and flexible spaces will allow people to live better, to be together in an inclusive manner, with bicycle and pedestrian paths and squares connecting with each other. The mixité urbaine, synonymous with quality of life, is guaranteed by the presence of student housing and budget hotels, green areas and urban gardens, residential, commercial and leisure, offices and workshops, as well as public spaces and car parks.
🚉 The planned railway station with a stop on the S13 line and a new subway for cyclists and pedestrians, with the function of urban reconnection, will make it possible to reach Milan Rogoredo in 18 minutes, making Pavia an extension of the Milanese metropolitan city thanks to future connections gravitating around La Necchi.
