The regeneration of La Necchi

📣 On the 4th of July, with an event on-site, we shared with the city of Pavia the progress report on the work in progress in the area of the former Necchi. We also launched a significant partnership in favour of cancer prevention.

🎙 The event featured a series of speeches on the area's regeneration, the work in progress  and health as a shared  asset in the presence of representatives of local institutions and public organizations.

🏗️  Different intervention phases to regenerate sites take place in the 11  hectares of the Necchi area: currently, the essential operation of asbestos  disposal from the buildings is taking place, followed by demolitions. These  actions are part of the remediation, making the site healthy and safe.

♻ Thanks to the circular economy process planned on-site, it will be possible to dispose of,  recover and reuse materials through selective demolitions and recovering  demolition material up to the production of CE label construction  materials.

🤝On the occasion of the event, Supernova and DESPE S.p.A have partnered with  Senologia al Centro and LILT Pavia in favour of cancer prevention. Mutual  sensitivity to the issue of prevention has resulted in the common goal of  supporting who does prevention and awareness-raising on breast cancer.

🎗️ Hence the choice of the Senologia al Centro,  initiated by Gnodi Group's will to bring breast cancer prevention across  Italy. In collaboration with the Pavia branch of LILT - Lega Italiana per la  Lotta contro i Tumori - a prevention event will be held in the street in  autumn to raise awareness on the issue of breast cancer. A modular,  prefabricated facility from Senologia al Centro will serve as the mobile  clinic equipped and able to perform ultrasound and mammography examinations.
